I have not read The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares or The New Dress, by Virginia Wolfe, but I have read The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins, by Dr. Seuss and The Emperor’s New Clothes, by Hans Christian Andersen. What all these have in common is that they are stories about clothes, or lack thereof in the case of the last one.
There is a lot conflict that could surround a piece of clothing. For instance, it could be a special item that causes problems (Joseph’s coat of many colors in the Bible) or something magical, or it could be something lacking that is vital, like not having a coat in a snowstorm.

The Green-Walled Treehouse 
I just love the graphic, and don’t laugh but was in the film version of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in a very small capacity so small I can’t remember what it was.
It’s a great theme to write about. How do you come up with these every week. It’s always impressive David. 🙂
