Food is a very big part of our lives, even if it’s often a mundane part of it. In stories, we often don’t need to mention every time the characters eat or drink, unless it’s important to the story.
However, there are times when food can be absolutely central to a story. This is true with survival stories where the characters are trying to find enough food, or where they are trying to get a very specific piece of food, like a magic apple.

Write a story that revolves around food.

The Green-Walled Treehouse 
What I like most about this is, as an avid reader…I LOVE to know what a character eats…what they had at lunch or dinner…what’s in their purse or glove compartment snack wise. Detail for me is what it’s all about. A ham and cheese sandwich? What kind of cheese. What type of bread was it on? Sourdough? Rye? A Kaiser roll? 🙂 I also ;LOVE the graphic David. That orange looks as if you can grab it right off the page. 🙂
