One great thing about reading is the chance to travel to different places and situations without leaving your home. Reading doesn’t open a new world, it opens up a million new worlds.
Writing is the same way but we get to make the choices. If you want to go somewhere, all you need to do is write it. The only limit is your imagination.
There are many kinds of journeys: from the normal, like going to the store or traveling to the beach, to the fantastic, such as going to other worlds or going back in time, to the internal, such as the mental journey in becoming a foster parent, or a superhero, or a bank robber.
This week’s prompt is:
Write a story about a journey you would never go on in real life.
It can be any kind of journey. Use your imagination.

Another inspiring topic. Where would I like to go that I’d probably not in real life, travel to?. India perhaps since, I could never comfortably see myself fly that far, but I do love reading about the land of Gandhi, one of my truest heroes.
I love what you said about reading. Yes, we so agree there how, a story, no matter whose it is, can take us away without ever having to pack. 🙂

I would like to travel around India sometime, especially now that I have a few friends there. But that’s why books are good, to transport us to all those places we can’t go ourselves.
