Muse on Monday – November 15, 2021

Did you know that this week is International Education Week? All over the world, people are holding special activities about international eduation. I am holding a workshop on academic writing for students in Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan on Wednesday.

Muse on Monday is a weekly writing challenge. Anyone can join and the idea is to write a story based on the prompt below. If you have an idea for a future prompt, send me an email at greenwalledtreehouse@gmail.com.

You can submit your story using this link for a chance to have it published next Monday when the new prompt comes out. Just submit it by 12:00pm EST this Sunday for a chance to have yours published.

This week’s prompt is based on the question below. Write a story to answer the question.

What would it be like to be the only human employee in a totally automated restaurant?

Good luck and happy writing! Come back next Monday for another story prompt.

  1. Where do you come up with these. I LOVE THIS. I just saw all those tuna sandwiches and slices of pie nestled in their plastic cubbies, while a frazzled guy with big black glasses runs interference when they jam and won’t open. ‘Hey, where’s my change? And I want apple, not pecan.” Kinda like what happens at CVS at the automatic payment machine. There’s always a person on stand-by ready to fix the glitch. Love this 🙂

    1. You should totally write a story for it. You’d do a great job. 🙂

      1. I do so love the theme, but alas, I’m not a bidding kid with a pristine page to write upon. sigh
