It takes a special type of temperament to fix something broken. I suppose that’s what the best doctors and mechanics have. It can take a lot of patience and skill, no matter what is involved. There is a lot of conflict involved in how to fix something and ultimately, deciding if it’s possible and worthwhile to fix something that’s very broken.
Story Prompt: August 10, 2026
Write a story about fixing something broken
If you write a story for this prompt, send me a link to your story on your own site, either in the comments or at info@greenwalledtreehouse.com.

Like your windshield.
MUSE is very prescient since, moments ago a picture popped off my wall. Luckily it’s a small one, of the writer Pete Hamill actually who may have been calling to me from his great typewriter in the sky.
Your graphic is so lifelike that if you look too close, one could cut their finger. Well done MUSE, AS ALWAYS 🙂
