For this week’s story prompt, I have a dilemma situation where there isn’t necessarily a right answer.
Story Prompt: December 1, 2025
You find a baby alone at a bus stop.
There are a lot of factors that could change the situation. For example, what time of day/year is it? What is the weather? Who else is there? What country are you in? Who are you? What do you do next?
All of these change the story a lot. And, of course, the tone is totally up to you. Have fun.
If you write a story with this prompt, send me a link to your story on your own site, either in the comments or at info@greenwalledtreehouse.com. You can also submit your story here for a chance to have it published on the site next week.
We’re into December now. Stay warm out there.

Can you imagine finding an abandoned baby anywhere? I’d be so upset, but that’s not the prompt. I’ve found kittens left, and a few dogs and that was perilous enough. It’s how we got Al and Ang, the two black cats when I was a kid. My mother treated them like babies. Now if she had found one, she’d keep it, and I’d have a baby sister. I love the graphic as always. You’re so creative David. You never run out of ideas. 🙂
