T(ea)

I’ll admit, I was only half listening to my daughter. She’d just gotten back from school and was chattering about her day. I was going through the mail.
“Tea,” I heard her say.
I looked at my watch. “Sure, I guess. You going to make it?”
“You are.”
“Fine. Don’t take that tone, though.”
“’Kay.”
I dropped the mail and started to fill the kettle.
“Ee.”
“Eat? No, we’re not eating anything now. We’re having dinner in an hour.”
“Why?”
“Because that’s dinner time.”
“And that’s how you spell TURKEY,” she proclaimed proudly.
I stared at her, thoroughly lost. “What?”

Smartarse kid. But I guess all kids are

It does seem to be a common trait with kids. 🙂 Thanks for reading, Neil.

Dear David,
I had to read this twice before I got it. But then I haven’t had all my coffee yet. 😉 Fun and funny. But I expect nothing less from your tower. 😀

I’m sure you’re not alone, Rochelle. This is definitely one you need to read twice to get fully. I wasn’t sure how it would go over, but that’s the fun of the Fictioneers, to try whatever. 🙂 Have a good week!

Not sure why the emoticons came out huge. Perhaps you can fix it on your end, David.
