DailyArt

I don’t remember when I got my DailyArt™. It’s an electronic picture frame with a subscription: every morning when I wake up, a never-before-seen picture greets me.
They started out cheerful but soon the colors darkened, and the shapes hinted at tragic things. Then this morning I woke up to a single scrawled word.
HELP!
How can I find out who this artist is? The DailyArt customer service is an email address that never replies. Finally, I call the police.
The officer listens, then shakes his head. “Sir, we’ve told you before. DailyArt doesn’t exist. This is a blank canvas.”

Lost in a world of a parallel dimension that haunts the hell out of people.
How can you help?

That would be a fun explanation. I don’t know how you would help, but it sounds like it would make a good book.

What a great idea. Too bad it can’t be launched and patened. You’d make a fortune. 🙂

You could probably do something like this. It would be technologically possible, at least.

Now he, and we, have to figure out he’s deluded, or whether he has the sight

True, it could go either way. Or maybe the police is gaslighting him for some reason.

It would be good to know someone wasn’t in distress, but also very disconcerting to find out, I’m guessing.

Art that only speaks to the observer. I love that idea, except that dark side of it. (lol)

Thanks, Dawn. Now that I’ve written this story, I want there to be some subscription like this, although it would probably all be done with AI, unfortunately.

Dear David,
A bit of the surreal and bizarre. Nothing less than I’ve come to expect when climbing into your treehouse. 😉 You definitely left me wanting to know more.
Shalom,
Rochelle

yeah, bizarre is a good description for a lot of my stuff 🙂 I like stories where you are not sure exactly what is real but I know it’s not everyone’s cup of chai. Thanks for reading, as always, Rochelle.
