It’s a common trope in fiction: two strangers arrive/wake up/find themselves trapped together somewhere. They might be the last people on Earth, but they could also be stuck on a desert island (like The Blue Lagoon) or a spaceship (e.g. Passengers). And so on.
The point is that there are two people suddenly pushed into uncomfortably close quarters, which causes tension. Will they be friends? Fall in love? Hate each? Fight?

The Green-Walled Treehouse 
This happened to me in an elevator; me and a man reeking of cologne that made me dizzy. I have e thing about smells. He also wore a toupee. I so wanted to suggest he embrace his baldness and switch to Old Spice, still my favorite men’s aftershave, but then the car began to move before the doors opened. 🙂
