I remember when I was young, I got lost in the woods. It was probably only for 10-15 minutes, but it was one of the most terrifying experiences I had ever had.
Being lost in the wilderness is a great plot for a story (Lost in the Barrens, by Farley Mowat was my favorite book growing up), but there are many places a person could be lost, from an alien land to a cave or even inside one’s own mind. Being lost has inherent conflict built into it, so it makes for a great story.

The Green-Walled Treehouse 
Was thinking, I’ve gotten lost in many places…Italy, Brooklyn, London. Someone always helped me even going so far as taking me there personally. I think it builds character to get lost once in a while, since you fight your fear of…where the hell am I, proving how brave you are. I know it’s not a story, but just a point of view.
I love the silhouette of the fella in the forest with trees for company. 🙂

I don’t mind getting lost as long as I’ve got time. I hate it when I’m late for a meeting or something. Otherwise you can just wander until you find where you are.

I’ve been lost all over the world, and someone always helped me. Pretty amazing when you think about it.
