Sibyl Park
Everyone knew you could find the know-chicks in Sibyl Park, usually after midnight.
“What do you want?” a voice said from a bench. Hoodie, pink hair, pale face illuminated by her phone screen.
“I need to know something.”
She made a well, duh gesture but still didn’t look up.
“What job would make me happy?”
“300 bucks.”
I gave her six fifties.
She handed me an envelope with my name on it. “Inside are two options. Both guaranteed.”
“So, you know everything?”
She shrugged. “For a price.”
“Is Bigfoot real?”
“$60,000.”
“What’s your phone number?”
“You really can’t afford that.”

LOL..fun story!

I bet it makes him try to earn more $$. I like the moon in your image. It looks supercharged.

Maybe. I feel like I’d be happy in many jobs but it really depends on your coworkers and boss. And yes, the moon turned out cool. 🙂

Ooh, can I get one of those envelopes, please?

Right? If only finding what job made you happy could be gotten for $300.

Thanks, Neil. Yeah, that’s what I was going for. I wonder how chatty the originals were.

Yeah, I always like dark scenes like this, so much potential. I like the idea that she already knew he was coming and had the envelope ready for him.

The “know chicks.” Fun story and makes me want to know more. I probably can’t afford it, though.

Haha, really. Yeah, I could see expanding it into a bigger story. And you can learn all, for only the price of a paperback book.

Sibyl Park and the know-chicks. Guaranteed, eh? Hmmm, would be worth the cash, methinks!
Wonderful creativity, David.

Thanks, Dale. I thought I’d do a modern take on the Sibyl of Delphi.

Dear David,
At those prices I think I’d rather find out on my own. 😉 Clever story as always.
