Browsing the Infinite
The heaven of the AltUni Mall, with goods from every alternate universe, was the choices. The hell was also the choices.
“I just want an American flag with ducks instead of stars,” Nel said for the thousandth time.
Every muscle in Kylie’s body screamed. “I’ll make one in Photoshop,” she said. “Ten minutes, tops. Please.”
“But it’s not authentic.”
They reached a store called Every Flag, Literally. The clerk nodded when Nel described her desire.
“We’ve got one with swans,” he said. “United States of Cygnerica. From Dimension 45521554561254-DGS-A-8. 51 swans, including Cisne Rico.”
Nel sighed. “Close enough. I guess.”

I loved Cisno Rico

Swans are my favorite bird next to a cardinal.
I too like Cisno Rico.Would make a good name for a heavyweight drug dealer. Great photo to muse on. 🙂

Thanks! I was going between Cisne Rico and Puerto Cisne but either one works, I guess.

I wonder what the US of C are like. They do sound familiar. Love it.

Yes, really. Are they all swans or just like them a lot? You can speculate.

It seems as if even in the Alternative Universe we have to compromise. What is the point of that? An imaginative story idea, I enjoyed this.

You really have to love shopping for shopping’s sake. I loved it at one time but I love it more now from my desk.

Imaginative story. If swans are close enough to ducks, she has a little give to her.

Dear David,
Only you could come up with swans and stripes. 😉 Funny, quirky and imaginative stuff from your treehouse as always.

Thank you! Glad you liked it. I might like this kind of mall, as long as it had hotels in it to take a break.
