Good morning and happy Monday everyone. Today is the start of the Homeland Holidays in Chile, so if you are Chilean, eat an empanada for me.
This week, the prompt is going to be a photo since we haven’t had one of those in a while. This is an interesting dragon lamp that I saw in Venice. You can think of a literal interpretation of it or something more metaphorical.
Story Prompt: September 18, 2023
Write a story based on the photo below.

If you want to share your story, you can send me a link (if you’ve posted it somewhere else) by email at info@greenwalledtreehouse.com or in the comments, or you can submit your story at the link here for a chance to have it posted on the site.

First off, I love the turtle since I have a thing for tortoises. I have several in my house. And as far as the picture goes, unless my eyes deceive me, it looks like a formidable black bird holding something I can’t quite make out. As if he caught something in flight.
I really love all your graphics and photographs; always unique…that special eye of the artist that you are. 🙂

Yeah, I like this one too. I’ve always liked the idea of things living on the back of other, huge things. The lamppost is a dragon holding a bunch of glass umbrellas in its mouth, I think.

I’m like a broken record, but your graphics should be put into a collection.

I was thinking of that big bird. I always wanted a bird and got to know a Mina named Pearl that a barber owned. He’d leave the cage outside during business hours with a sign that said…I take tips. Also, she bites. She never bit me. I’d rub her beak through the bars of the cage. And once again it proves, animals know who their friends are. 🙂

Pretty sure Joan of Bark is the Francis of Assisi of Manhattan. 🙂

I just love that description of me. I just need a toga and some sandals. 🙂
