For the summer, Muse on Monday writing prompts are a combination of a theme and a genre. Last week’s theme was Death and the genre was Comedy. Here is the prompt for this week.

Story Prompt: August 21, 2023

Theme: Nature’s Fury

Genre: Romance

You can interpret nature’s fury any way you want: often it means storms or some other bad weather but it could be any sort of an attack from non-intelligent sources such as disease, cosmic radiation, animal attacks, earthquakes, etc. How this could be romantic, it’s hard to say although romance can still bloom even in the most difficult of circumstances. Give it some thought.
