Recently I saw two lovers say a tearful goodbye at the airport. It was even harder since because of their circumstances, they would not see each other for a long time, if ever again. Modern communication such as video calling and chatting are great to a point but no substitute for being together.
I felt for these people since I’ve felt my share of heartbreak, as we all have. Heartbreak is never a pleasant to go through but it is a driving force of stories since there is a lot of internal conflict in it.
Story Prompt: December 12, 2022
Write a story about heartbreak.
This can be romantic heartbreak or for any other reason. Writing about heartbreak can be difficult but it can make for good writing.

Wow, I mentioned this earlier as if I had a premonition. And such a loaded topic since, we’ve all experienced heartbreak in one form or another. I could write about losing Bill Hicks to Carmela, the Basset Hound without passing go. Love how you chose a heart that looks as if its wincing for the graphic. Nicely done, as always.
