Today is Halloween and it’s the time when people often watch scary movies or read scary stories. However, what is actually scary is different from person to person. In our culture, most scary stories are about monsters, ghosts, evil people, aliens or technology gone wrong. Still, what is most terrifying is the atmosphere that the writer creates, so any story can seem creepy, even if nothing particularly scary happens. Sometimes the unknown can be the scariest thing.

Now that’s a alluring theme. After careful thought, came up with…being grabbed by my waist from behind…walking into my apartment finding a strange man sitting on the couch. And having someone knock loudly on my door in the middle of the night to come arrest me for being a spy. You can tell I read a lot. 🙂
