Stories are everywhere.
Not just ideas for stories but actual stories: if you see a wrecked car on the side of the road, that contains a whole host of stories, including the final one that led to it being wrecked. A painting holds the story of its creation as well as the ideas that the artist had while creating it. That is why some objects make us nostalgic: we know all the stories surrounding them.
Today’s prompt is a photograph I took in Montevideo, Uruguay a few years back. I don’t know the story behind it, but we can speculate. You can write your speculation of what it means and where it came from, or something totally different.
Story Prompt: August 15, 2022
Write a story based on the photograph below.

If you want to share your story, you can either email me at info@greenwalledtreehouse.com or submit it at the link here. I’d love to publish your story as well.

Have a good week.
I am intrigued by the image…the peace sign, the flowers…clearly it’s a message to be kind rather than inflammatory. We need more images like this Professor Stewart .

One thing I love about traveling is seeing the graffiti and street art. It’s more a thing in Europe than in Asia, but you still see things tucked here and there. You get a sense of the political and cultural climate too.
