People are fascinating. On one hand we are all the same: we all need the same things and follow the same patterns, but on the other hand we are each unique. Every person has their own story or collections of stories. Some we know, others we can only guess.

For example, I am currently looking at two women with flower tattoos on their necks, one of them colored in, the other just an outline. There is a story there—not one I would ever go and ask them, but probably a very interesting one.

Today’s prompt:

Write a story about a day in the life of one real person.

This can be someone you know or someone you see in passing. Feel free to speculate about anything you don’t know.

If you want to share your story, you can either email me at info@greenwalledtreehouse.com or submit it at the link here for a chance to have it posted with next week’s prompt.

Happy Easter!

  1. I love the picture of the kid eating Cherios. How great is that…cereal to woo us. I think most people love it, even if one’s granola is another person’s Grapenuts. I’d love to write a story about someone I revere like Henry Clay or Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant or Patti Smith…
but for now, going to look at that bowl of cereal again. 🙂

    1. As someone who likes to look for fantastical places for stories, it’s nice to come back to the normal and mundane for inspiration sometimes. There are stories everywhere.
