Happy Valentine’s Day! This is a day we think of love, usually romantic love between two people. However, there are many other types of love as well, such as love between family members, love of friends, love of nature, and so on.

Animals also form very strong bonds, either with people or with other animals. We don’t know how animals feel, exactly, but we can tell that they can make strong attachments.

So here is the prompt this week:

Write a story about a bond of friendship between an animal and a person or another animal.

If you write a story and want to share it, you can submit it at this link or email it to info@greenwalledtreehouse.com. I might pick one to publish next Monday when the new prompt comes out.

Have a good week. Tell someone you love them.

  1. What a wonderful theme. And I’m so glad that you recognized how love comes in different packaging. An animal for instance, will love you down to your socks, doesn’t matter what is going on, if you’re happy or sad, cranky or sick, they root for you. I’m convinced it’s why they wag their tails.

I so love the Treehouse. 🙂

      1. To put it mildly. I myself would rather converse with a dog who really listens, than with a person who often just waits to speak again.

  2. PS Love the man in the picture who’s wearing a Barbour jacket, just like mine. 🙂
