Hello and happy Monday everyone. Welcome to a new week and a new Muse on Monday writing prompt.
Muse on Monday is a weekly writing challenge to help you improve your writing and have fun, open to anyone of any age. The goal is to write a story that starts with the first line below. You can submit it using this link for a chance to have it published next Monday when the new prompt comes out. You just need to submit it before 12:00pm EST next Sunday.
If you have an idea for a prompt for a future week, please send it to us at greenwalledtreehouse@gmail.com! It can be in this form or anything else.
This week’s challenge is to write a story with the following sentence as the first line of your story:
Our history teacher told me to finish the lesson, then walked out.

Good luck and happy writing! Come back next Monday for another story prompt.
I love the theme adoring history the way I do. I fantasize about standing in front of a group talking about Lincoln or Henry Clay, telling them what I know. Knowledge, if you make it interesting enough, can be contagious. Again, what a great premise David. I’m smiling. 🙂
