Muse on Monday – September 6, 2021

Welcome back! The Green-Walled Treehouse was off for a few weeks, but we are back and ready for the new school year. We hope you are all rested from the summer and ready to dive into a new year.

Muse on Monday is a weekly writing challenge to help you improve your writing and have fun, open to anyone of any age. The goal is to write a story based on the prompts below. You can submit it using this link for a chance to have it published next Monday when the new prompt comes out. You just need to submit it before 12:00pm EST next Sunday.

  1. I love the idea of a lazy cowboy. Reminded me of Patti Smith calling Sam Shepherd her cowpoke in the book, M Train.

    You can see a guy with his Stetson pushed back, a blade of grass between his teeth. leaning against a fence while cows happily graze.

    The word laconic comes to mind, that and YUP, NO THANK YA MA’AM. BEST BE GOIN’ NOW. Here’s to all lazy cowboys. 🙂
