Muse on Monday – June 30, 2025

This week, I want to look at birds. Birds are pretty fascinating for a lot of reasons: the fact that many of them travel long distances every year, much more than land animals; they have a big range of sizes and diets and characteristics, from the hummingbird to the ostrich, and they live in every climate in the world.

Story Prompt: June 30, 2025

Write a story about the day in the life of a bird

This can be a realistic story or a fantasy or absurd story, plus any kind of bird. Whatever strikes your fancy. If you write a story with this prompt, send me a link to your story on your own site, either in the comments or at info@greenwalledtreehouse.com. You can also submit your story here for a chance to have it published on the site next week.

Happy Canada Day this week if you’re from Canada or happy July 4th if you’re from the US.

  1. What a great theme. I love birds; have them all over my house. I especially have a thing for owls . And love how eagles fly above a storm…a wonderful image when one’s in crisis. Muse never disappoints. 🙂

      1. I saw a cardinal this morning on my morning walk. A baby who just walked along with me for a few steps. It was sweet.
