Welcome to 2025! This is our first Muse on Monday for this year, so hopefully we can set a good tone for the year.

I haven’t had anyone ask me about New Year’s resolutions for a while. Maybe people are cynical about then since they seem to last until February at the latest. Still, I’m sure we all make some, either formally or informally. The beginning of a new year is a great time to make changes in our lives and improve ourselves.

Write a story about a New Year’s resolution

This is the sort of story that lends itself to comedy, in my opinion, since we can imagine the lengths someone might go to fulfil their resolution and the obstacles that could get in the way. But you can decide what works best for you.
