So it’s not officially summer yet but it is June, so we’re getting there (if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, at least).
Beaches are a great place to hang out in the summer. Even my little city of Erie, PA has 11 beaches, which are very popular in the summer.
What do you think of when you think of beaches in fiction? Maybe a romantic setting, or a place for pirates to bury treasure, or a deserted place to be marooned. Beaches are also a boundary area so anything that has to do with the interaction of land and sea will probably take place on a beach.
Story Prompt: June 3, 2024
Write a story that takes place on a beach
If you write a story for this, you can send me a link to your story if you’ve posted it somewhere or send it to me at info@greenwalledtreehouse.com. You can also submit your story here for a chance to have it published on the site next week. I will post my story for this prompt next week as well.
Good luck and happy writing! Have a wonderful week.

Wow! Erie has 11 beaches? Never knew that. My favorite beach film of all time is, Where The Boys Are. It takes place in Fort Lauderdale on a school break. Connie Francis sang the theme song, as well as was in it.
Then there’s Gidget, with Sandra Dee. Toss in the salacious scene in From Here To Eternity between Debra Kerr and Burt Lancaster in bathing suits doing it on sand, and I’ll leave you with two words…OH MY!!!
Great graphic, as always.

Yeah, they’re all strung along the Presque Isle peninsula, all on the outer lake side.
