Muse on Monday – July 24, 2023

Can you believe that July is almost over? It’s going fast, at least for me. I hope this week goes well for you. Happy Children’s Day in Vanuatu. Part of the mission of this site is connect young people from all countries, large and small, so it would be wonderful to have some submissions from Vanuatu someday.

For the summer, Muse on Monday writing prompts are a combination of a theme and a genre. Last week we had boundaries and fantasy. Here is the prompt for this week.

Story Prompt: July 24, 2023

Theme: Healing

Genre: Science Fiction

Science fiction usually has to do with either things in the future or with technology that we don’t have at the moment, either because we don’t have it yet (flying cars, robot butlers) or because it may be impossible (faster than light travel, time travel, etc.). A science fiction story can involve anything from a single piece of technology (see H.G. Well’s The Time Machine) or a whole world, such the Star Trek universe. That’s up to you.

  1. The first thing I thought of was a hospital in the clouds you traveled to via NASA….a Saint Jude’s in the sky. There wouldn’t even be a waiting list for any child who needed special care.

Love the graphic of little astronauts. You’re so talented David. 🙂
