When our World Moved

When Our World Moved

copyright Rowena Curtain

Could I move the glass telepathically? Pure fantasy, but so was this date a year ago. Anything to impress her.

I chatted superficially, willing the glass to move.

Bang! Glass and water flew everywhere. My face exploded in pain.

Despite everything, my spirit glowed. I was telekinetic.

Later, as I was lying bandaged in a hospital bed, she appeared.

“I’m sorry,” she said. “I was trying to tip the glass. It was a crazy idea. I don’t know how it broke.”

My spirit froze.

Then an idea materialized, and my spirit warmed again.

“Maybe,” I said, “we did it together.”

Choose the lightbulb icon called Daily writing prompt like the one below. Today’s story is an intersection of the photo prompt and this writing prompt.

Sweet story. Maybe it’s better, given the experience, if they take turns?

    1. True. They’ll have to plan out their telekinesis. 🙂

  3. I loved this…that he was trying to impress her.. Wooing never goes out of style, as his spirit glowed.

The graphic is the sweetest. I remember crushes as far back as grade school. You just couldn’t quite put it into words then, but your heart said it all anyway. 🙂

Aw, I loved this. There’s romance in their attempts and maybe now they can take to each other, they’ll be able to make it work. Communication is the key.

    1. Thanks! Most of the conflict in love stories, and in real romances too, is misunderstandings and lack of communication.

    1. Yes, it would see so, unless maybe we all have half telekinetic power and it just takes working together at the right time to make it work. 😉

There is strength in numbers. They’ll have to learn to use this power before anybody else gets hurt. Today, a broken glass. Tomorrow, the world. Muahahahahahahahahahahah!

    1. Very true, that could go in a dark direction. Lots of possibilities of what to do with that power.

Sharing a special trait like telekinesis with a romantic partner would be a lot of fun. Thanks for the tutorial on the WP daily questions!

    1. I feel like this one could be expanded a lot but that’s the challenge, to fit it all in 100 words. If I make a longer version, I’ll link it later here.
